Tonight I can't talk about one, I've got a title in mind, but must create something around it...But i just want to share two collages virtual and real I made about the St Malo Book-Festival who takes place every year in June...such a great event, where you can meet such great people...I couldn't show you all the pictures...I love reading, so much...so much...I sometimes say : I don't believe in god, but I believe in Heaven I know where it is : in all good public libraries...

anyway I have a blog where I try to speak about my favourite books in English...

you can work on the photos again, add collages, paint, turn them into mail-arts, pictures of all sorts...that black has a special magic side, try to emphasize it...

look at these two pictures...on the left you see the rhodoïd, partly covered with black gesso, a little gold embossment, a tiny branch and you heat it with the heat gun to transform the paint...it looks strange, but when you put it in front of a lamp it's magic...picture on the right and underneath....

when you work, never say: this is bad work ,without taking time to watch it carefully, with various lights, talk to it, tame it, until it gives its truth...

She had chosen the name of Clearwaters, wonder where she is now...When I made this bowl for stories she was in my mind...
I also reread Mistress of spices, magic novel...but cut it in two pieces and trow away the second part when Tilo meets that man...afterwards it's just an ordinary novel...

But the spices of true power are from my birthland, land of ardent poetry, aquamarine feathers. Sunset skies brilliant as blood. They are the ones I work with. If you stand in the center of this room and turn slowly around, you will be looking at every Indian spice that ever was--even the lost ones--gathered here upon the shelves of my store. I think I do not exaggerate when I say there is no other place in the world quite like this. The store has been here only for a year. But already many look at it and think it was always. I can understand why. Turn the crooked corner of Esperanza where the Oakland buses hiss to a stop and you'll see it. Perfect-fitted between the narrow barred door of Rosa's Weekly Hotel, still blackened from a year-ago fire, and Lee Ying's Sewing Machine and Vacuum Cleaner Repair, with the glass cracked between the R and the e. Grease-smudged window. Looped letters that say spice bazaar faded into a dried-mud brown. Inside, walls veined with cobwebs where hang discolored pictures of the gods, their sad shadow eyes. Metal bins with the shine long gone from them, heaped with atta and Basmati rice and masoor dal. Row upon row of videomovies, all the way back to the time of black-and-white. Bolts of fabric dyed in age-old colors, New Year yellow, harvest green, bride's luck red. And in the corners accumulated among dustballs, exhaled by those who have entered here, the desires. Of all things in my store, they are the most ancient. For even here in this new land America, this city which prides itself on being no older than a heartbeat, it is the same things we want, again and again.

then you put it in a friend's hands...she watches it silently , then goes on with the stories...

and you go on and on till the following morning...

Come along sisters, let's say it's Tuesday...anyway for you and me it's always Tuesday...first a great news...
Welcome, Lucas...you're such a sweet little boy... My niece gave birth to this sweetheart on Tuesday, September the 2nd... before her grand-father died she had told him the baby's sex and name very secretely... So my friends, we're coming back...I do thank you all for your kind words and hugs, I told Mum about it and she sends you all her love...
Now, here are the "things" I made last weeks, there're for you...I now belong to a group of women working on Mixed-media that's what i did lately, wanted to share...
I also bought for the tenth time "Woman who run with wolves"...this one I will not give it to anybody...I had to do it...The first time I met this book was eleven years ago...many things happened since...so back to the good old reading...let's see if I read it differently...I'll let you know...

he passed away last Saturday morning...Actually that's a relief, he had a stroke a few days ago and was completely paralysed...and anyway he was 87 and had a long loving life with Mum...as you are my friends I can tell you my last souvenir...last time I saw him was in July...Thomas was at home for a few days so he could stay with hubby...mum had just left the hospital and was very tired...I helped her undress...Dad arrived and said: Oh I could have done it ! he quickly quickly undress and ran all naked to get his pyjamas , ran to the bed, took mum in his arms and said: "that's better"...that was the last time i saw him, the following morning I had to leave very early and didn't want to wake him up...63 years of a marriage (1945/2008), with ups and downs and 6 children, little money...but such great love...and they were so beautiful the two of them...Mum is very tired...bound to be...

so Saturday morning after my sister's phone-call I went to my room and made an "altered book..."my first one, to evocate a bit my parents'life...

just to say they grew up, loved each other, educated children, and did their best...that's what we all do, don't we ?at least we try...so the pictures are in Sarah's blog...just click HERE...

Olympic games could be so nice, so beautiful...if there was no flags, no banners...just young boys and girls from free countries trying to be the best one just for the pleasure of enjoying themselves...On Sarah's blog, Old woman watched Tv and saw what they called The games, then she saw the sacred mountain of Tibet, and felt sad for these people...she tried to make a new dream-catcher and spent the night, meditating...
but in the morning the dream catchers had caught sad pictures from all over the world...
so Old woman kneeled down and cried...

something extremely important happened, Galipou, the small character living in the "thousand moons country" participated to a circle-journal...there he met a nice girl Marceline...they decided to live near Elise's house and they got married !!! of course marceline was quite different when she was in the circle journal but she was obliged to change her clothes, living in such a place would be difficult with long dresses...

I created a short story for Esther, Scrapazimut's little girl...
Yvonnick and the nuts, sure you'll recognize Yvonnick, he's one of my grand-children...
He's living with his mum in a caravan in the forest "Coat-Noz, the wood of the night" that's in Breton...he helped Mum to paint the caravan then decided to look for nuts...couldn't find any...spent the night in the forest...everybody was sleeping...a good job big bird helped him and sent him some nuts...so back to the caravan...and the big bed...
